Summer Post-baccalaureate Program at UNT

North Texas Behavioral Health Careers Opportunity Program (HCOP)- Post-baccalaureate Ambassadors

Daily Schedule: June 2 – July 16, Monday – Thursday, 9 am - 4 pm
(No classes June 19 and July 3 & 4)

Transportation to and from campus is not provided

Program participants receive a $2,700 stipend

What is HCOP?

This non-residential, six week summer academy is open to applicants for doctoral study in clinical or counseling psychology.

Attendees will focus on building foundational knowledge across the core areas assessed in the qualifying examination and, ultimately, the national licensure exam.

Slots are limited.

Application Deadline: 
March 31st

In addition, attendees will gain experience on vertical research teams that culminate in a juried poster session and awards banquet.  Protected time towards thesis/dissertation proposal writing will be a daily part of academy programming. 

Program participants will be provided with preparatory material related to the national licensure exam in psychology (i.e., Examination for Professional Practice in Psychology or EPPP).

Who is eligible?

Income eligible students who have earned an undergraduate degree with a behavioral science focus and have been accepted or conditionally accepted into an accredited doctoral program in health services psychology.
